Pastor Timothy McLaurin, Jr. was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated, with honors, from the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1992. He began his collegiate career at Morgan State University where he had a dual major in Accounting and Business Administration. After surrendering to his call on March 16, 2000, Pastor McLaurin transferred to the Washington Bible College in January of 2001. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and Theology from WBC in 2006. Pastor McLaurin qualified for the advanced Pre-Seminary Program, which allowed him to complete a two-year graduate program in one year. In May of 2007, he received his Masters of Arts in Christian Counseling and Discipleship from The Capital Bible Seminary. He has continued studies in counseling at Capital Seminary and Graduate School and Bowie State University. In 2015, Pastor McLaurin became a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and started You and M.E. Counseling, LLC.

Pastor McLaurin was licensed to preach at Calvary Baptist Church, under the Pastorate of Dr. Haywood A. Robinson III, on February 4, 2001. He was also ordained under the Pastorate of Dr. Robinson in September of 2008, at The People’s Community Baptist Church in Silver Spring, Maryland. Pastor McLaurin pastored for 12 years before becoming the pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church in November, 2022.

He is married to the former Ms. Kimberly Rollins and they have three daughters Aaliyah Kimberly, Ariel Timia and Asyah Simone McLaurin.

Pastor McLaurin has a passion for global missions and evangelism, and for helping to heal hurting people. He is passionate about God’s commission to make disciples, God’s command to love the Lord with all his heart, mind and soul and his neighbor as himself and God’s charge to equip and empower the people of God to do God’s work and God’s will.

He is a preacher, teacher, conference speaker, workshop facilitator, and revivalist who is ready, willing and able to serve in any capacity and any place that the Lord calls.
